How does the Pentana Audit Work System operate?

The Pentana Audit Work System operates at three distinct levels. 

Universe mode - Manage and interrogate your Pentana Audit Work System universe and access various System Administration and Library Management modules for global reporting and analysis across entities and audits. 

Entity mode - Perform detailed work on a single entity; this can be a process or an organizational unit, such as "the revenue cycle", or "a head office".

Single audit mode - Perform detailed work on an audit; this can be any type of assignment, such as a risk assessment, cyclical audit, or a fraud investigation.

Working at the Universe Level you can:

• Assess audit planning risks
• Maintain and analyze your risks and controls register
• Manage work papers
• Provide business users the ability to perform self assessments

Working at the Audit Level you can:

• View and update details about the audit
• Maintain and analyze the risks and controls register
• Plan and perform tests
• Attach work papers, create tests, record test results, raise points and record results
• Prepare findings and actions, obtain responses and automatically produce your Audit Report

Pentana Audit Work System lets you prioritize and schedule audits through a process of global risk assessment. Users define a library of global risk factors and score each entity against those factors. The result is a global risk score for each entity, which enables users to rank and compare the relative risk amongst their entities, enabling the prioritization and allocation of staff resources more efficiently.
